How to update Jotly Apps collaborator access permissions

Sometimes our support team needs a few extra permissions to look into an issue in your store, for example access to your themes, products or orders. You don't need to remove and re-invite us, you can simply update the permissions on the existing Jotly Apps collaborator role. This guide shows you how.

Note

Haven't accepted our collaborator request yet? Start with How to accept collaborator access request from Jotly Apps first.

Step 1: Open the Users page

Open your store page and click on Settings in the bottom left corner of the page, then click on Users in the settings menu.

Step 2: Find the jotlyapps role

On the Users page, click on Roles. You will find a role with the jotlyapps name in the list. Make sure that role shows 1 active user, that is the role our team is currently using.

Step 3: Select the new permissions and save

Click on that role to open it, scroll down and select the new permissions (whatever has been requested by the Jotly team to help you with your store), then click Save to apply the changes.

Works

That's it. The updated permissions apply immediately, and our support team can continue working on your issue.

Removing permissions later

You can use the same page to remove permissions that are no longer needed. Once the Jotly team confirms that a permission isn't required anymore, open the jotlyapps role again, uncheck the permissions you want to revoke, and click Save.

Note

Make sure you are editing the role that has 1 active user. If you see more than one similar role, the one currently in use by our team is the one with an active user against it.
